Key Basic Parts for High-Pressure Pipelines – Manufacturing & Application of Hydraulic Fittings and Ferrules
Hydraulic Fitting and Ferrule: Key Components of High-Pressure Hose Assembly
The hydraulic fittings and the ferrules are the core components of the high-pressure hose assembly. When combined, they form a compression-type joint assembly, which is a key basic part for sealing and pressurizing the hydraulic system piping. During assembly, the core is inserted into the inner hole of the hose, and the sleeve is placed over the outer layer of the hose. After being compressed by the press machine, the internal teeth of the sleeve engage with the steel wire layer of the hose, achieving high-strength locking and zero-leakage sealing. It can withstand high-pressure conditions of several hundred bar.
Raw Material Grades and Machining Craft
The mainstream materials used in the industry are mainly 20# and 35# carbon steel, which are treated through quenching and galvanizing for rust prevention. For high-corrosion scenarios such as marine and chemical industries, 304/316 stainless steel is selected. Heavy-duty and heavy-load equipment are combined with alloy steel to enhance fatigue resistance. The production relies on CNC precision turning, cold heading, and precise gear milling processes. The dimensional tolerances are strict, and the accuracy of the tooth shape and taper directly determines the total assembly's pull-out force and service life.
Application Scope, Industry Trends & Market Situation
This product is compatible with hydraulic equipment in various fields such as excavators, mining machinery, metallurgical equipment, ships, and agricultural machinery. The current industry trend leans towards higher precision, standardization, lightweight, and corrosion resistance upgrades. Domestic production capacity is sufficient, while the demand for foreign trade exports remains stable. Quality control and process upgrading have become the core competitiveness of manufacturers.
